I am a life-long resident of Fort worth/Hurst Texas. I grew up just a few miles from the stock yards which still draw visitors from many parts of the world. I must admit that I don't wear a cowboy hat and have only been there a few times, one of which was in my high school band marching in the stock show parade many years ago. I was in the Texas Boys Choir in 1963. We sang for President Kennedy. There is a film of this event, but unfortunately, there was only one camera filming the event, and it was on the opposite side of the large room we were in, and the picture quality is really bad.
I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a minor in architecture. I am primarily self-taught and in my younger years was highly influenced by the French impressionists. Apparently, there are many artists still doing impressionistic work (me included), but I am also trying to expand into a more modern style.
