Silvia Lasak

Silvia Lasák is an artist who stands on a solid pillar of her own path. Without an academic education, she was able to build a rich artistic language - intuitive, but at the same time technically sophisticated. She is a portrait artist with the ability to capture the soul of a person and at the same time an author who is not afraid to experiment with different techniques, materials and genres.
In her works, she connects reality with abstraction, creating visual stories full of emotion and light. Each painting is a personal statement - from intimate portraits to large-format abstract compositions that act as windows to other dimensions. Thanks to the courage to find her own means of expression, she is able to transform into colors the theme of women, nature, the inner world and symbolism, which appeals to viewers across cultures.
She has been drawing for over 20 years. In addition to working with carbon, pastel, watercolor and combined techniques, since 2014 she creates acrylic and oil on canvas, monoliths, interior walls and various other background materials, such as clothes and accessories.
