Tomislav Sabolic

Biography

Tomislav Saboić was born in Varaždin in 1971. During his studies he shew a remarkable talent in fine arts, and his teachers encouraged him to continue his work. His extensively been painting since 1993. His first solo exhibition was organised in 1997. So far, he has exhibited at ten independent exhibitions and several group exhibitions. He represents himself as an oil on canvas painter. The dominant pastel colors painted on the canvas are showing autors view of the world in a surrealistic way, in particular the strong connection between the author and his hometown and the influence of his baroque beauty in the city's image cycle. His paintings decorated many interiours throughout Croatia and Europe. Except Croatia and Austria he has exhibited even in Indonesia, Slovenia and Germany. He is a participant of many art colonies in and out of the country. He is regularly responding to humanitarian auctions. He is a member of the LUV and the KUD Varteks. He lives and works in Varaždin. Tomislav Sabolić is inclined to synthesis of abstract structures and fragments, and in a special way succeeds in bringing the picture into a perfect composition.
