Arthur Werren

I am an avid wildlife artist who after a satisfying corporate career am now a full-time artist. I have however been specializing in wildlife art for the past 40 years. This passion has been fueled and made possible by living in a country (South Africa) where many beautiful wildlife parks exist.
My style of painting has evolved over many years to where it is today, however wildlife has always been the main theme.

I did my final years of schooling at the Johannesburg school for art, music, ballet and drama. This is a specialist school where students specialize in one of the above disciplines..mine naturally being art. After school I worked as a graphic designer/commercial artist for four years before going to university and then venturing into the corporate world. This remained my 'bread and butter' until I finally 'retired' to give my full attention to my art.

I recently submitted some artworks to the David Shepherd Wildlife foundation yearly art exhibition which is considered the oscars'' of the wildlife art world. This event is sponsored by the BBC Wildlife magazine.' I was extremely pleased to be nominated a finalist on this very prestigious exhibition (2021)
