Arvin Narvaez

Arvin Bryan C. Narvaez is a producer of visual, literary and sound arts. Like many young artists of his generation, he does not confine his arts within the traditional frames but explores other spaces online and in hard, material grounds where real life transpires. Of his artistic process, Arvin narrates how, some fifteen years ago, he ventured into art, calling such engagement as an on and off process. Even with with his drawing using pencil, pen and ink, Arvin describes his works as abstractions instead of the usual figurative forms such media tend to urge in an artist. Listen to him: My pen and ink works delves upon linear formations creating forms which play upon depths and illusions. On the other hand, I started mixed media works with cement, drift woods and found objects creating assemblages in my early years and recently found myself comfortable in painting on glass and canvas, incorporating the techniques like layering and collage that I've learned from years of experimenting.
