I’m Asawari, a tough one to pronounce I am told.
I’m a painter living with my husband and kids in Gurgaon, India. I sometimes dream of living up in the mountains, by a dainty stream but mostly on beaches, by the restless seas. My career has taken me across geographies and cultures before I decided to speak the language of visual arts. I had a beautiful boy, a naughty doggo before I picked up a paintbrush again, and my creative spirit has created positivity in completely unexpected ways.
My greatest surprise was that art energized me in ways that I could never have imagined. And an even bigger surprise was the sense of joy, peace and happiness that it brought to those who bought my art.
I am humbled to embrace the life of an artist and spend my time bringing forth spirituality, beauty and grace in the form of paintings that enrich the homes of my collectors. I hope you enjoy and share my experiences at creating art in the near future!
Most of my professional career has been as a Digital Marketeer working with multiple clients at a time across different industries and businesses. I have also dabbled with coaching the early years educators in finding their strengths and teach character strengths in classrooms.
I discovered how much I love making Art, quite recently and am practicing it to create bodies of work that will be cherished in happy homes as much as I love to make them.
Since having my first child in 2008, I have devoted increasing amounts of time to painting. In 2018 this came close to being my primary profession. Alongside some commissions and regular releases of new bodies of original paintings, I am still teaching Digital Marketing to a post-graduate batch at SACAC, Delhi. I intend for Art to be my primary profession by the beginning of the year 2020.
Working from my home studio in Gurgaon, India, I predominantly sell my work privately and by commission.
