Dzhumabekov Asein Kasymovich (1960), monumental artist.
As an artist, I am interested in many forms of art, however I choose to work on wall and canvas paintings. In recent years, I have particularly preferred abstract paintings. In my student years I studied the works of Kandinsky, Malevich, Klee, Georges Braque, Leger and others. Being educated in the field of art as a student at Saint Petersburg Art and Industry Academy, gave me a chance to enjoy many original paintings in the Hermitage on a regular basis. In my current works I tend to focus on line, color and the overall composition of my paintings.
My interest in art began in my childhood. At 14, I enrolled in distance studies at Moscow Correspondence University of Arts, where I studied for 5 years. Then, I studied at the Art College in Bishkek. I further studied art at the Stieglitz Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. Later, I enrolled in the Graduate School of the Academy of Arts, and after getting a degree, I became a professor at the Academy of Arts.
Since 1994, I have been a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
