Atziri Perez

My work is principally found in the abstract current, but I also venture into the figurative. It isn’t quite didactic because I am not completely immersed in what is going on in the current world of art and its participants; I find inspiration in themes which I consider relevant such as science, nature, architecture, spirituality, etc.
I look to connect with the universe through my work. I pretend to create art with melody, color, movement; aquatic and ethereal. I create worlds from the imagination, and the spaces that surround us or that had existed since everything was nature and harmony. I try to shape a magical sequence that contains all the Creation; multidimensional worlds that tell stories to the spectator and take them to dream according to their personal experiences.
My work is inspired in the stars, architecture, nature, and spirituality. I try to create a connection among art, science, nature and inner illumination.
I play with contrasts of color and forms in an organic design; I fundamentally use blue color, as I consider it to be a spiritual color, it represents water which is an essential element for life. Other colors complement the composition bringing sparks of energy.

Atziri studies Architecture at “Tecnologico de Monterrey” ITESM and graduates in 2001, she studies painting in Chiapas and Tabasco since she is 7 until 18 years of age.

She has participated in 74 collective exhibitions in Tabasco, Nuevo León, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Morelia, Puebla, State of Mexico and Hidalgo, in México. 2 exhibitions in Germany. Four individual exhibitions; one collective virtual exhibition; eight auctions.
Atziri was part of the project “FreeXpression” for Aid for Aids foundation and Playboy condoms, which took place in Soumaya Museum.
She also participated three times with Mexico Vivo foundation in Arte Vivo exhibition and auction in the Modern Museum of Art in México City
She has been published Published in the Artist Directory in the February/March 2016 issue (Issue 69) of Aesthetica Magazine. (Print and Online). UK.
