Everything visual has transfixed me early-on: painting, design, and photography. I want to fashion an image of the world for myself and express things as I see them.
A lot has been developing simultaneously for a while. I had my first exhibit with Gouachen already in 1990. At the time I was still completely involved in my marketing career: some years spent in large firms, then on my own. Art always finds its path, asserting its relevance without compromise, however little time there is. There is no unusual urgency, but there are these perpetual, gnawing questions - the mentality of the long view. "To fashion myself an image of something" remains the starting point; I'm an "image maker" in the direct and figurative sense of the concept.
For the last few years it is photography that has been dictating the path, and luck has it that I can now concentrate on it lock, stock, and barrel....
