Dorothy Johnston

I studied Mathematics at Imperial College, London University, gaining a BSc(Hons) and ARCS(Associateship of the Royal College of Science) and went on to do computing at BP's Head Office in London.
However, my twin love has always been Art. At school, I won prizes and accolades for my paintings, some of which were hung on the walls of the art room, school corridors and main stairwell and some were sent to an exhibition in Australia.
Later, I studied Art, and the History of Art, on various courses in Harrow, England, joined a local Art Club and had my paintings exhibited in Club Exhibitions and in Debenhams.
And now, with the emergence of amazing digital painting software, like Corel Painter, which provides an artshop full of media in digital form, replacing so realistically traditional media, enabling me to paint in new, previously unimagined ways and image manipulation software, like Adobe Photoshop, that enables me to take my creations to a different level, I have found my true mode of expression, combining my twin loves of Art & Computing to produce Digital Art.
