Bacho Gogolashvili

Bacho is an artist and visual arts teacher born on 15th of April 1987 in Tbilisi, Georgia. He has graduated the University of Auckland (BFA).

My intention is to express, through light and color, my personal, inner experiences of the mysterious, transcendental, unknown, concealed and dreamlike.

The idea of breathing soul into the dead form (empty canvas) by animating it with color is appealing to me. I consider colors as living entities, possessing their inner power of life, which organized in certain ways create specific vibrations on the soul of the observer. Thus color is my main tool and the aim is to create pulsating, luminous and radiant surfaces that emanate a mystic light.
