The sculptures made by Barbara Kluiver consist fragmentend body-parts and the daily experience is taken as subject. Elements of universal, everyday life-experiences are enlarged and distorted. Not exposing the attractiveness but rather what's underneath, the misery.
Barbara Kluiver works with diferent materials like aluminium, cement, polyester, fiber and wood. Elements from the environment are often part of her sculptures.
