Bernadette Garcia

BARCIA is the name used for the organization around the sculptures of Bernadette gARCIA.
They are idiosyncratic sculptures, images with a wink. Making every sculpture is an attempt to grasp the intangible in form. It is the three-dimensional translation of an idea, an abstract concept, an event or emotion. Telling a story, but without words. The sculptures are about things that every person encounters or suspects in his life and that every person experiences differently. It is a search for connection with the essence of earthly things, but also a search for connection with the unknown. Inspiration for the images are everyday things, possibly converted into a surreal concept.
The name BARCIA is also the symbol for the concept behind the sculptures:
