Barry Stone

I am an Israeli artist born in England, my art being influenced by the ambience of both countries. In England there is the subtlety of the muted light and atmosphere whereas in Israel there is the intensity of the simplifying mediterranean sun.
In my art i aim for an initial dramatic visual impact. The painting then invites the viewer to participate in a dialogue within deeper layers of emotion.

I am a self-taught artists. My love of painting began as a child and has always been an essential part of my life. I have experimented with various media and styles and discovered that abstract painting allows enormous creative freedom.
