The vibrancy, creativity and colourfulness of Bernita Shelley's character is reflected in her work which is full of bold and positive shapes, motifs and elements to feast the eyes and provide warmth and positivity within.
Born in South Africa, Bernita came to Britain in 1982. Self-taught, she rediscovered her love of painting, citing the Pop Art, Abstract and Cubist movements as inspiration. Bernita predominantly uses Acrylic paint but experiments with a mixed media of paper, moulds, gloss, glitter and diamond dust to create an end result of colour, texture and art which is full of happiness, intrigue, curiosity and joy.
