I am a 85 year old Canadian woman. I started painting when I was 58 years old and retired. Lived at the Chelsea Hotel and studied under Knox Martin at The NY Art Student's League for 6 months in 1992/3. I live in Barrie, Ontario, Canada with a sweet, rather spoiled little dog who is about my age in dog years. We are relatively happy.

Owned a catering Company in Toronto. Sold it when I was 53. Took up a brush! Lived in Glyfada, Greece for 6 months in 1991 where I went to The Painting School in Glyfada. 1992/3 I studied in New York at The Art Student's League under Knox Martin who told me to "stay away from school, paint with the first colour that comes into your head - now go back to Toronto and paint every day, all day!"
Wish I would/could paint all day every day but living gets in my way. I will start next week ...

My painting of Jessie in her Brown Boots was chosen to hang as a banner at the corner of Pine and 2nd Streets during the summer of 2012. One of 25 or so Lamppost Artists.
"Kirkland Kabins" was chosen as Best in Show at the Thornbury Library Exhibition of the Marsh Street Painters.
My work will be on exhibition at The Barrie Art Club during the month of November.
2018 - "Kirkland Kabins" was one of 33 pieces of art chosen from over 1400 works for the Quest Exhibition in Midland, Ontario.
