A full-time artist for 18 years, I am a documentary painter, mainly working in communities/culture centres in the Northern Territory of Australia, on culturally significant projects for, and under the guidance of, community elders. At present (2022-4) working on a series of paintings showing the 'Funeral Rites of the Warumungu' for exhibition in Tennant Creek in 2024.

The series of paintings presented here is based on the mono prints of the printer, artist, poet and writer, William Blake (1757-1827). Blake was a visionary and mystic. Almost totally ignored during most of his life, he is now considered to be one of the greatest British artists of all time. His prints are generally very small and mainly exist in the form of booklets printed by Blake, now held in public collections, mainly in Britain and the USA.
Blake is probably best known for his poem, 'Jerusalem' (Hymn 578) "And did those feet in ancient time ...", sung so passionately in the Albert Hall at the Last Night of the Proms, as well as his poem, 'The Tyger', "Tyger Tyger burning bright, in the forest of the night ..."

BA English Lit; MA Applied Linguistics; Cert Adult Ed; BfA Painting & Drawing.
