These paintings are explorations of austerity and limitations. Interested in challenging the viewers’ preconceived interpretation of the imagery used in this work and a fascination with the use of line and space. Subtle variations in thickness, texture,location,and length to achieve dramatic differences in the paintings’ perceived meanings. The tableau of this work is comprised of these lines, whether put together in the form of simple everyday objects or as abstract compliments to the balanced compositions.

As well as being selected for many important public and private collections, these paintings have been featured in group shows and several one and two person shows around the country since 1985. Gallery representation has included Salon Margraff, Marion Locks East, Sandy Webster Gallery, Painted Bride Art Center, The Philadelphia Design Center.
