The reason why I create my art is very simple, I love doing it! I see something that interests me, a colour, a pattern, a shape, a form and I want to replicate it somewhere, perhaps in the same context or in a different way altogether. The principal idea I explore is how can I showcase what interests me in colour, not just any old colour but, 'in full technicolour!' as they used to say in old speak when they started creating Cinema in colour,
because I find that colours effect me greatly, moods, feeling, it can uplift me, it can calm me, excite me and I want to share that passion, my passion, with the person looking at my artwork.
By experimenting with many mediums such as watercolour, acrylic, alcohol inks, resin and mica powders, I feel that I have finally found my 'voice', and I am totally having a love affair with them.
My current passion is creating paintings which reflect the crises effecting nature, wildlife, our planet. Getting my message for everyone to do their little bit creates a virtuous circle where I can share my passion with my audience and their feedback drives the energy in me to create more.
