Bogdan Dide

Bogdan Dide (Bohdan Didenko) is a contemporary Ukrainian painter based in Lisbon, Portugal. Working primarily in oil on linen and canvas, he has developed a distinctive figurative style that combines realism, surrealism, and fragmented forms into a unique visual language. His paintings explore themes of identity, transformation, memory, and the emotional complexity of human experience.

Since beginning his professional exhibition career in 2018, Dide has presented his work in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Ukraine, Portugal, Spain, Italy and USA . Recent highlights include exhibitions at the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) in Barcelona, the MEAM Hall in Madrid, and selection for the 2026 Spotlight Showcase at Arch Enemy Arts in Philadelphia, USA.

Largely self-directed in the development of his artistic practice, Dide has spent years refining traditional oil painting techniques while pursuing a deeply personal approach to figurative art. His works are characterized by expressive brushwork, sculptural surfaces, and layered compositions that balance technical precision with emotional intensity.
