Learn about Happiness (Gérard Forche) When I first met bos’ work, I was immediately excited about it, stunned by the intact and sophisticated childishness of his drawing line. The candour, the startling discovering of joy, communicative, monumentally orchestrated, to fuel emotion and intelligence. His paintings bring us back to lightness, to the freshness of soul, to pleasure rediscovering, to spontaneous and beautiful joy, but allows us to access the state of grace, a sudden understanding of the world, of the human life and of its importance. A pictural process undeniably and inherently optimistic. « life is beautiful » and bos proves with a noticeable simplicity, accuracy and a bewildering genius … obvious! Life only seems to be aimed at gathering all of us in wonder, in a fusional contemplation, where everyone smile would contribute to the signature of this huge collective art-work. Bos plays with the art of painting to make it more bookish. His line behave similarly to a writing, like in an open book where every single word and sentence has been soften, protected by color. Born in 1968 in Cholet, Bos. has been painting since his youngest age. After he studied in advertising drawing in Tours, he begins his activity in freelance and makes his first works in La Baule and Dinard galleries. In 1996, the artist decides to acquire a workshop according to his immoderation, mixing his passion for art and animals. A farm situated in Saint Pierre des Echaubrognes, in which the painter/farmer will realize monumental and inspired sculptures. His last realization, « Stellar Digression », a work 9 meters high for the Mercure hotel in Cholet. In parallel to his exhibitions, Bos. keeps working on request for architects, communities and private consumers.
