Zafer Kalfa

He started his art education in 1995 in department of painting, Trabzon Anatolian Fine Art High School. He exhibited his works of art in 1997 at the first time. Started to study painting at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts in year 2000. He studied silk-press with Prof. Hasan Pekmezci. He also started writing article and first article, Sanatçının Dramı- Tragedy of Artist, was published at Kum Magazine. Graduated from the studio of Prof. Zafer Gençaydın in 2005. When he arrived in Trabzon, he continued his writing career in local newspapers. At the same time, he made TV programmes on art. Zafer Kalfa who made his first movie, Documentary of Ganita, in 2007, has made five documentary films so far. He has had 7 individual exhibitions. He also had joint exhibitions in Ankara, Trabzon, Istanbul, Eskişehir, Çorum and İzmir. In 2010 he won a prize in a contest (A Woman: From Past to Now) which was organized by İzmir State Museum of Painting and Sculpture and The Balkans Association of Women. He took part at 1.
