Carmi Plaut

Carmi works mainly in acrylic on canvas and digital illustrations. He also has worked in oils, stone and mixed media in the past. His style is unique- working within abstract expressionism with a vitality of colorful life and surreal experiences.

His use and balance of vibrant color is distinctive and original. Carmi paintings are composed of
unique strokes of reds, blues, yellows, and large dark masses and luminous planes of vividly
interwoven burning colors. Blending his signature colors with elements from the images he
observes, be it landscapes, cityscapes or people and stills. he has developed a powerful body of
abstract work that can uniquely be attributed only to his long years of observing, experimenting
and perfecting his palette and mixed media.

Throughout travels in USA, Asia, Europe and living in New Mexico, Carmi has been influenced by a wide range of cultures and characters. His art reflect the color, the passion and the beauty.
