Kate Ulianova

I was born in Kharkiv region and grew up in Kharkiv, a nothern part of Ukraine. 2 years ago I moved to Kyiv, the capital. I am now 21 years old and have a dream to be recognized as a worldclass painter.
I draw inspiration from classical music, especially Vivaldi and Debussy.
Also interesting people inspire me, books about art, documentaries about artists, history, nature, different textures. When I was a kid I used to take pictures from everything that is unusual that ordinary people would not look at: tree bark, paint peeling off the metal, broken concrete, leaves textures, etc.
In addition to painting I also work as a stylist part-time, where I dress up local artists in the custom-made by my-self clothing.

Although I have been painting all my life I have never been self-taught. My mom was a painter but she did not manage to become a professional painter, however she noticed my attraction to paintings and sent me to the painting school when I was a kid where I studied for 9 years. After I went to gain a pressional education at Mirgorod Art and Industrial College.

I am not working on the exhibitions that will be in Kyiv in about 1 month time. The details will be provided later in the due course. Also I will take part in some on-line exhibitions with saatchi art later in the year, all details to be followed.
