Caesso Cizanne

Welcome to my studio located in a quiet little town on the Riversides of Gelderland (the Netherlands). Here is where I make art that I enjoy making. I feel I need to make the pieces I'm making and can't always explain it.

As with all artists, I first need to get inspired. This usually comes from making sketches of certain portrait poses and combining multiple ideas up to the point it 'feels right' and I can envision the final painting.

From there I make a planning to organize my days so that I can spend as much time in my studio while honoring my duties to my day job, to my health, to my friends, family and other pursuits. I plan ahead so as to outmaneuver distractions and become as efficient as possible to spend quality time with my paints and make my idea come to life. I say no to a lot of activities and say yes to my art to make it happen! 

Then I need to show the world. Even though I want the art to find it's way to it's owner naturally, it doesn't hurt to do this to through a bigger audience. In able to share it, I photograph my work, share progress, document the arc of a painting through time-lapses and videos, and I discuss my thoughts and feelings regarding being an emerging artist.
