Carla Cerchiara (1985) is a contemporary artist based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since a very young age, she felt captivated by geometry. Using acrylic paint on canvas and a meticulous masking technique, she builds intricate hard-edge compositions with basic shapes and solid colors.

The complexity of simplicity is the guiding thread that connects all her work. The result is a clear reminder that "the whole is always greater than the sum of its parts."

Her artistic practice relies on three core principles:

Although Carla Cerchiara holds a Bachelor's Degree in English, her passion for learning extends beyond traditional educational settings. For her, the most enriching artistic journeys involve delving into diverse fields of study. This emphasizes her strong belief on cross-disciplinary exploration.

Her background as a translator also provides a rich foundation of skills and perspectives that nourish and enrich her artistic practice as a geometric artist. Her analytical skill allows her to break down complex forms into their basic elements, understand the relationships between them, and restructure them to create new geometric compositions.

Her precision, analytical ability, creativity and problem-solving aptitude translate directly into her art, enabling her to create aesthetically pleasing, conceptually profound, and culturally meaningful geometric compositions.
