Carlos Lérias was born in Lisbon, Portugal and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
He studied at University of Lisbon’s Fine Arts School, Universität der Künste in Berlin. In 2009 he moved to New York to study at the School of Visual Arts’ graduate program in Photography, Video and Related Media.
His work focuses on the ontological nature of image and its fleeting relation with a bodily presence.
