Carl Walter Imthurn

Born in 1961 toAnglo-Swiss parentage, in Montreal Canada. My work draws on a truly international heritage.With influences raging from Dada, through to the abstract colours and shapes of the Swiss artist Paul Klee and the American artist John Micheal Basquiat,
My work can now be found in public collections, including The Durham university collection, and many private collections throughout the united kingdom, Europe , and the United States.
In 2000 Goldsmiths decided to purchase an original Imthurn for it's permanent collection, which was displayed for sometime in the public area of the college. I later received the news that the piece had been stolen .
