My work is a means to express the fragility and transience of life; a very personal response to recovery from illness in 2004. I work predominantly in wild open places such as the highlands of Scotland, New Zealand's south island and around Camber Sands and Dungeness. Using multiple exposure and in-camera movement alongside conventional techniques I express the moods and emotions that I experience in the outdoor world.
Making hand made books is currently my preferred way of presenting my work.

I value of the sentiments of John Muir, the Scottish adventurer who said "everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul ".

2010 ARPS (Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society) with impressionistic images of sand and water from the Hebrides.

2011 Postgraduate Certificate in Photography at Central St Martin’s, University of the Arts, London.
During this period she worked on the series ‘Springtime in Suburbia’, exploring man’s desire for law and order over nature’s tendency towards chaos in the suburban environment.
