Caroline Zakaria-Marcos

Caroline Z. Marcos is Egyptian-born (1980), Houston-based Mixed Media artist, working in acrylic, collage, and sometimes encaustics. Caroline creates works of fine art; utilizing various mediums and techniques, such as acrylic gel medium transfers, encaustic, collage and oil stick. Creativity as play and using tactile mediums are inspirations to her pieces. She has participated in several Juried shows and has had 3 commissions and various collectors. She enjoys participating in the Houston art community on a regular basis. ().

Caroline holds a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with an Art Therapy emphasis. Before starting a family she enjoyed counseling at Houston's First Baptist in the Juliana Poor Memorial counseling center as an LPC-Intern.
