Catherine Rive

Catherine Rive is based in London UK Maps and the process of mapping became a significent fasciantion in her work while studying for an MA in Fine Art in Barcelona, Spain. A painter she works in acrylics and oils on canvas.
Working with nature, I find maps in leaves, these echo the patterns on the palm of my hand the same can be found in branching systems in trees, rivers, how these external patterns echo the organs within. Guiding us to reflect on our own condition while reminding us we are connected. Connection with trees gives a hint of the larger patterns in life.
You and I are earth.
