Born in Manchester, UK, I won a scholarship to the Manchester School of Art but decided not to enrol. Later, however, I attended adult art classes in Manchester as I was interested in drawing and painting the female nude. Art education: life classes and adult art college attended in the late 60s, 70's and 80's where I exhibited at various venues around Manchester and the Portico Gallery.
I have appeared on TV on channel 'M' in a programme called 'Interference', and invited back to talk about my work in an interview which is yet to be broadcast.
