Chantal Stone

Born and raised in NW Connecticut, I now live with my husband in Columbus, OH.

My work is a blend of abstract expressionism and impressionism. I'm attracted to these forms of art for their freedom and secrecy. Abstract and impressionistic painting allows me to express myself in the most honest and personal of ways while allowing the viewer to engage uniquely. Though most of my paintings have a clear intent and meaning for me, the conversation between the final piece and the viewer is what interests me most. Freedom of expression simultaneously with freedom of consumption, for me, is what making art is all about.
