Charles Garbett

Born in Salford, Lancashire - full time artist, based near London, working in mixed media on medium to large paintings, settings and constructions.

I work with a variety of media on medium to large paintings and drawings and also produce sculpture, ceramics, maquettes, constructions and large scale settings. The work is both abstract and figurative and tends to run in simultaneous series e.g. archetypal figures, simulated environments and fragmentations, portraits of decade people (in expressions of the times), mind/space works, and recently multi-stranded paintings and objects being created as elements to form a macro work which needs the opportunity of a venue.
