In a world where we are overwhelmed by images, Chloë Núñez-García (°1991) creates a sense of tranquility in her paintings in a style that she calls “abstract surrealism”.
She is drawn to shapes and textures, works with collage and own images to translate the essence and color of an image to paint. She works with various media including acrylics, oil, ink, resin and leaf gold. Besides creating own work, she also paints on commission in her abstract surrealist style.
Chloë studied in the Royal Institute of Arts in Antwerp (until 2008). Fun fact: she was specialised in portrait drawing before she started with painting.
