Working from Malmesbury; gently nestled in the picturesque Cotswolds, Chris is never short of inspiration and never far from gorgeous subjects. From the mysteries, and, colours of woodlands, inland rivers to seascapes, and, secret coves. Chris's pieces allow the viewer to get involved, to imagine the space, fill in the gaps of action and participation, and, even, guess what might be behind a tree, a boat or building that isn’t discernible from the creation on canvas.
With time at Reading Art College in the early eighties, Chris evolved his own approach: ‘’My approach to each representation is one of total mental, and, spiritual involvement, I try to be completely ‘present’ in the process. The peace and joy I experience in putting the work down on canvass or paper, whether in oils, pastels or acrylics, is one I strive to pass on to the observer.’’ Chris's work happily hangs on the walls of occasional exhibition goers, and, private collectors alike.
