Christopher Foster

I am an artist. My medium is glass. I think about glass as the mantle of the earth with an infinity of discoveries as vast and limitless as space. I choose to discover these wondrous things and express them in glass. I look at my work as a collection of discoveries.
Stained glass artist Christopher Foster established his first studio in New York City in 1965. He is now located in Lincoln, Rhode Island. Christopher personally designs every work of stained glass that comes from his studio. All his works are fabricated using traditional tools and the finest materials. His numerous commissions, many from repeat clients, are a testament to his dedication and determination to create fine pieces of enduring artistic beauty.

Christopher is from Mount Vernon, New York and grew up in Port Washington, Long Island. At the age of 15 he decided to become an artist. After graduation from high school he studied drawing and painting at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Geneva Switzerland. Coming back from Europe he studied at the Art Students League in New York and then at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. His courses included drawing, painting and etching.
