Christopher Treat Muniec

born in connecticut in 1959,i have now spent half my life in virginia and the carolinas [the outerbanks wilmington and walterboro].i come from artists and artisans,writers and activists.educated at the university of bridgeport,bridgeport,ct. lapsed catholic amateur buddist i work primarily with the human figure.i am a figurative expressionist ,i spent twenty years in watercolor and have returned to oils.

five years at the university of bridgeport,bridgeport ct.[three semesters a year]left me twenty credits shy of four ba's-drawing,painting,print making,ceramics.the missing credit being outside the art building.i was co-artist of the year in 1982, with elizabeth tiernney.
