Chris Wright Abipp

I am a former graphic designer turned award winning BIPP (British Institute of Professional Photography) photographer based in Lancashire, England. I am also on the BIPP Board of Directors.

My photography career started in 2009 chiefly
with commercial and occasional weddings. In 2013
I received BIPP recognition for my documentary
wedding style, which was commended for its
freshness, emotional depth and personality.

In 2014 I discovered that my deep characterisation and story telling approach successfully lent itself towards wildlife, while observing puffins at the Farne Islands.

Sixteen awards later, The Puffin Man brand was created to show off my love of puffins and their hilarious ambiguity. Since then I have gradually broadened out to feature other wildlife and domestic species.

In 2018 I started adding landscapes, seascapes and
architecture to my portfolio. My constant willingness to learn new techniques and expand subject matter means that the images created for The Puffin Man will be ever evolving. A celebration of all things British, from great beauty to wonderfully quirky!
