Claire Edge

I am drawn to collagraph as a way of exploring the tonalities and textures which are achievable through intaglio printmaking. Landscape is the primary theme of my work. Memory and the interpretation of the past allows me to re-construct a visual representation of place.
It is through these investigations that my current work has led me on to a further investigation in colour, specifically the effects of singular monochromatic tone.
