Born in Rome in 1969, after graduating from business school, Claudia Bellocchi starts, between Rome and Buenos Aires, an intense activity of research and experimentation, which leads mainly to works both as a writer and as a painter.
The choice of the expressive technique and the multiplicity of the creative sign are functional to the emotional expressivity, of which her art is a living expression.
Starting from the painting, the artist moves towards the image with videos and art installations, to reach the written word, which becomes action of the theatrical language.
She collaborates with the Argentinian editorial staff “L’Italiano” – daily newspaper for Italians all around the world – and with online magazines such as Moto della Mente, Roma Cultura, writing about human rights, the condition of women, culture and the South American world; she is furthermore author of tales, poems and of the short play “Notte nera” (Dark night), presented in May 2015 to the Italian national committee for Unesco, on the occasion of the Cultural Diversity Day and in November 2015 in Buenos Aires with the patronage of the Museo de las Mujeres, during the second edition of the theatral festival on the gender-based violence.
Numerous are the exhibitions, in Italy and in Argentina, the realization of videos, installations and theatrical initiatives with public institutions, documented on the artist’s websites.
