“Painting creates a space that goes beyond our imagination and can only be explored through emotions.
I am interested in the connection between poetry and the human being with his questions and feelings.
I try to get something like a universal feeling that embodies the inner reality of the individual and their authentic search for truth.
Poetry flows into my art and words remain as fragments. They form a connection between the past and the present moment.
I hope that by discovering facets of words in my work, the audience will be inspired to find new ways of reading art that go beyond the usual perspective. “

Claudia Keupen (1971), winner of the art award Artists of Mallorca 2023 with her painting poems to the ocean, inspired by the poetry of the Persian poet Rumi.
Academic degree Magister Artium (M.A.) in Art History from the Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich, graduation in Fine Arts at the Art Academy Bad Reichenhall with Jo Bukowski, she has complemented her artistic education with artists such as Peter Mairinger, Stephan Geisler, Peter Casagrande.
Based in Mallorca, she works in a multidisciplinary way, combining analogue and digital techniques.
Her work includes abstract large-scale painting and contemporary portraiture as well as digital art.
Inspired by words, song lyrics and poems, she creates a unique connection between poetry and contemporary painting.
Word fragments from songs, lyrics and poems flow into her art and appear in her work as visible signs and messages beyond language.
Her art works are painted poems.
She has exhibited internationally.
