Claudia Montes was born in Barcelona in 1992.
As a visual artist she creates analog collages, stop motion films and illustrations.
She studied Arts at La Massana Escola d'Arts i Disseny School and graduated from Filmmaking studies at Ramon Llull University. After studying an Erasmus in Belgium, she moved to London, where she lived a year and a half, and graduated from a MA in Critical Media & Cultural Studies at SOAS University. Her passion for Japanese culture brought her to specialize in East Asian studies at Barcelona University and to study in Tokyo.
She lived in Paris for four years, working within the culture and media industries, as a curator, journalist and production.
Her collage work has been exhibited in Madrid, Barcelona, L'Hospitalet and different online events. She won de Japan House London Kokeshi design competition, 2020 and participated at L'Alternativa Film Festival with her short film Arte (Where Is Art?).
