Eva Clemens

My painting is a passionate homage to the inspiring diversity of the human face and body, the sensuality, the joy of life, the splendor and dignity of nature. How enriching it is to feel at the same time as an individual and as part of this nature, the source of great inspiration, strength and happiness, I show in my pictures. My portrait painting is also very important to me.
I am a convinced painter and draw my skills from figuration and abstraction.
Since I constantly take in my surroundings with all my senses, everything that surrounds me inspires me. I love mastery, and that's how the great masters of painting from then and now inspire me. I want the collectors of my pictures to derive great joy and strength from my art every day. The feedback from my collectors confirms that I am successful.

I grew up in an artist household in the studio, so to speak. I drew and painted early on and studied my father's art library. My first apprenticeship was in a ceramic workshop, and later I created individual ceramic pieces and plastic in my own workshop. I also wrote about art for various publishers. I returned to painting and became a student of Professor Wolfgang Peuker at the Berlin Weissensee School of Art, and then until 2000 a student of Professor Ulrich Hachulla at the Leipzig College of Graphics and Book Art.

Many solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. Among other things in the Goethe Museum Frankfurt am Main: "Prometheus / MythosGestalten" Henry Moore and Eva Clemens, pictures of Prometheus poems by Goethe and Ted Hughes; Xylon Museum and workshops in Schwetzingen; State Art Gallery Lodz, Poland and many more.
I am represented in private and public collections, i.a. Reinhold Würth Collection, Künzelsau, Rhineland Palatinate State Theater, Daniel Fournier Collection, Paris. See my website.
