Clodagh was born in 1974 and spent the first 20 years of her life in Scotland. She then moved to London to further her career in the arts, prior to moving to Sitges, Spain.
Clodagh was drawn to visual arts from an early age and she trained at the Norwich School of Art and Design and the Putney School of Art and Design.
In 2003, she started exploring acrylic and mixed media. Through the years she has developed a unique atmospheric interpretation of landscapes and aims to convey an impression rather than accurate depiction, thus allowing form to emerge from form which, on close inspection, may seem to be haphazard.
Clodagh is inspired by wild open spaces and in her work she strives to capture the atmosphere and beauty of the scenery in which individual natural elements are in constant fluctuation, yet find balance as a whole. By allowing the diffuse composition to be open to interpretation, her evocative paintings reflect nature itself.
Her paintings have sold in 3 continents and are currently owned in private collections in the UK, France, Spain, Greece, Australia and the US.
Her work has been shown in a number of galleries. At present pieces are for sale in White Space Gallery in Australia and Alpha Art in Scotland. ...
