Claudia Werth

My practice investigates how emotional presence can be constructed through color, material, and abstraction. Working between abstract and figurative modes, I create spaces where meaning remains open rather than fixed.

Through layered surfaces, contrast, and visible process, my paintings explore tension, rhythm, and psychological depth. Figuration appears as a state rather than a subject—faces that emerge and dissolve within chromatic fields.

The work invites sustained viewing, allowing emotion to unfold through color, gesture, and material.

A degree in Computer Science and a two-decade career in the IT industry formed the foundation before the full transition to painting in 2020. Though primarily self-taught through continuous experimentation and workshops, her technical background provides a unique artistic foundation. This journey allows her to masterfully blend structured precision and analytical composition with the freedom of expressive creativity and bold color.
