'I appreciate the art of painting and the challenge it brings, not only technically but also emotionally.
I always try and pursue a essence of my subject however I feel this isn’t enough – it is important that I stamp my own interpretation and creative expression. I enjoy nothing more than seeing the initial sketch turn into a vibrant three dimensional form that will be witnessed for years to come.
I draw inspiration from such artists as Sargent, Fechin, Sorolla, Zorn, Picasso to name a few. I am allured by their painterly style and use of colour to impress upon me their techniques.'

Conor has a permanent display of artwork in the contemporary Azure Studios, Northern Ireland. The modern white space lends itself to the explosion of colour in Conor's paintings.
