Visual artist, lives and works in Brussels in Belgium.
Corinne Lecot creates sensitive artworks at the border of testimony and pictorial expression. She uses the photographic medium as a means to examine the perception of reality as well as the place of man in his environment. Her photographs are not portraits of people but snapshots of real situations to which she brings an often mysterious graphic dimension. The themes of displacement, flows, crossroads and trace are frequently referred to in Corinne Lecot’s work, who is particularly interested in the movement of people, trade goods and knowledge and traces left behind while "passing by".
She participates in gallery and cultural institution exhibitions since 1996 both in Belgium and abroad as well as in international fairs like Toronto, Miami, Paris, Karlsruhe and Brussels. Her works are also displayed in many public and private collections in Belgium and abroad (Ministry of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, Ministry of Belgian Foreign Affairs, Museum of Contemporary Art at the U.L.B, BNP Paribas Fortis Art Collection, AXA Art Collection).
