Jacob Costen

Predominantly a digital artist, I'm strongly interested in surrealism, dreams, space, and the intersection of architecture and nature. I'm also a lover of retro tech and early computer graphics techniques and styles.

I try to develop a strong sense of place within my works; I want to be able to get lost in these dusty virtual worlds.

I studied History of Art at AS level, as well as Computer Science. Following that, I took a year out to undertake a foundation drawing course with the OCA. I have been through almost a decade of self-teaching myself 3D modelling and rendering software. I'm now studying video games programming at Staffordshire University, with particular interest toward rendering and computer graphics.
