Cris Pachalian

My work concerns the organic, the modeling, often expressed by sculptural lines setting up moments recorded by me. I try to capture situations that are often not part of my routine in my life experience, people who are just passing through.

The sculptures relate to the experience of living in large urban centers and do not represent people, but only recreate unique human beings who live in an oppressive society, whatever it may be. People who live anonymously with each other, as I perceive them, even in a split-second in the crowd. I catch the essence of these people, making it transparent on what goes beyond my perception.
